Looking to level up your wheel throwing skills? Join us once a week for ten weeks for weekly tuition.
In the first few weeks, we will work with you to refine your foundational wheel throwing skills, including how to wedge, throw and trim your work. We will then move into project-based learning, where you'll have the chance to dive into different projects, with the goal of pushing you outside of your comfort zone.
This is a very fluid form of learning, guided largely by the direction that the individual students would like to explore.
Perfect for those wanting to learn:
- Spiral wedging
- Repetitive throwing
- Collaring
- Lids and galleries
- Throwing off the hump
- Making plates
- Throwing on bats
- Making and using chucks
- Glaze application
Example projects include:
- Flatware
- Vases
- Teapots
- Sake Set
- Casserole Dish
Please note, this course is not designed for beginners. It is expected that you are already familiar and comfortable with the basics of wheel throwing, trimming and glazing. If you are new to wheel throwing, please consider booking one of our beginner wheel courses.
