Looking to level up your hand building skills? Join us for weekly clay classes, once a week for ten weeks.
During the first few weeks, we will work on refining your fundamental hand-building techniques of pinching, coiling, soft and hard slab construction.
The group will then move into project-based learning, where you'll have the chance to dive into different projects, with the goal of pushing you outside of your comfort zone.
This is a very fluid form of learning, guided largely by the direction that the individual students would like to explore.
Perfect for those wanting to:
- Refine your skills
- Build larger works
- Construct more complicated forms
- Explore new techniques
- Guidance and personalised tuition
Example projects include:
- Vases
- Serving platters
- Sculpture
- Bottles
- Geometric forms
Please note, this course is not designed for beginners. It is expected that you are already familiar and comfortable with the basics of hand building and glazing. If you are new to hand building, please consider booking one of our beginner hand building courses.
