A Stone Social Guide To The Gold Coast

by Jayde Gibbards

In light of our upcoming monthly Stone Social pottery event, we wanted to share our local guide to the Gold Coast for the ultimate weekend away. From morning nature walks to self-care afternoons, your next weekend away won’t fail to disappoint with this all-in guide.

Our Favourite Beaches

Kirra Beach

It's no secret that Kirra Beach is the perfect beach day location. Surrounded by gorgeous yellow sand, palm trees and crystal clear water, this is the perfect location to settle under the sun.

Tallebudgera Creek

A relaxing, flat water creek with a view of Burleigh Headland makes Tallebudgera Creek the best location for sunbathing and relaxing swims.

Burleigh Headland

It wouldn't be a trip to the Gold Coast without a beach day at Burleigh Heads. Surrounded by a beautiful headland, it's the perfect location for an ocean dip and a picnic on the hill.

The Alley

Mostly known for its surf, the Alley is located at the very beginning of Currumbin Beach. Closed in by rocks on either side, you're spoilt for choice to swim in flat water or among the waves.

Our Favourite Day Time Activities

Palm Beach Farmers’ Markets

Running every Saturday from 6:00am to 11:30am, the perfect place to find local produce, fresh flowers and a small range of handcrafted accessories and clothing.

Burleigh Village Markets

Running every Sunday from 8:30am to 1:00pm, these curated markets feature an array of local, creative businesses making it a one-stop shop for local, handcrafted and vintage clothing, accessories, homewares and more.

Native State

The ultimate wind-down activity. Relax and soak at this luxurious bathhouse, feel zen with their complementary herbal teas as you enjoy their hot and cold plunge pools, sauna and steam room.

Stone Studio

Of course, we offer a range of beginner pottery classes that are the perfect weekend activity for you and a friend, partner or the entire family. You can also enjoy our specialty coffee and a delicious meal in our Currumbin and Kingscliff Cafe, or a casual pottery experience with our Paint-a-Pot.
