There is something so empowering about learning a skill from scratch and making a piece of functional art that you can use everyday. Scratch that. There’s no better feeling than when someone says how beautiful it is and asks where you got it from, only to reply with “thanks, I made it”.
We want you to feel this confidence boost, this rush of empowerment. Boost the ego! We love to see it! At Stone Studio, everyone, and we really mean everyone, wants you to succeed. In celebration of this confidence boost, we’ve created the ‘Made By Me’ campaign. A campaign designed to empower you, our teachers and our members and to showcase the incredible pottery made at Stone Studio. Join us over the next month as we share the inspiring stories of some of our teachers, members + our Founder, Jennifer Redmond. Focusing on their individual pottery journeys and the impact of clay play on their confidence.
Our team of experienced teachers are well equipped to help you along your pottery journey, wherever you are on it. Beginner, intermediate or expert we won’t judge and neither will the clay. To help kick-start your pottery journey we’ve got a range of short courses designed to help you find your feet and walk away with beautiful, handmade pottery that is sure to take pride of place in your home. Our teachers will teach you all the basics of pottery including: the ceramic process, how to wedge and recycle your clay, the fundamentals of slab building, the foundations of Wheel Throwing and / or Hand-Building, imprinting and texturing on clay, trimming and glazing. Essentially, everything you need to start your pottery journey off on the right foot.
